Arachnid 2.0 is almost done… the first draft, I mean. I’ve been working on this book for over a year and I’m getting a little worried.
I’m currently knee-deep in Arachnid 2.0, the next story after Vermin 2.0, and I still have a ways to go. Spring is upon me and that was my self-imposed deadline. Oops. My only excuse is I’m having fun and writing what I need to tell the story. I am not an overwriter, but the book is approaching twice the length as anything I’ve ever written before (currently 112,000 words), based on the lengths of my previous novels. Yikes. For a first draft, that’s pretty huge. My editor is going to hate me.
I thought of separating Arachnid 2.0 into two books, but that just didn’t feel right. I planned for one book so that’s what I’m going to deliver. I just don’t know if it will drop during Spring (March 21 – June 21). Fingers crossed!
