There it is, my shiny new manuscript, just shy of 65,000 words and the result of eight months of getting up at 6am on weekends to write. One word, one sentence, one page at a time gets the job done if you write regularly. My next novel, I will attempt to write seven days week, in the mornings. That will cut the time down from the first draft. I could abandon television in the evenings, but that is my time to refuel. Stephen King has said that “television is poison.” I disagree. I’m selective in what I watch and I get ideas from everything. Television is just another source. Coming from a screenwriting background, watching television helped my writing. Bottom line, I have to find a way to ditch the day job. 😉
