Last month, I talked about lucid dreaming, which is the ability to control your dreams while you are experiencing them. Now, I took the idea a little farther, and headed into fantasy territory.
What if you could make your dreams real, if only for a short while? Imagine you had an ability to dream of a person, real or imaginary, and pull them out into the real world where they could interact with the world, just like a regular person.
Maybe you could talk to your great great grandfather, hang out with the secret crush that you haven’t had the nerve to talk to yet, or just make a friend to hang out with. The possibilities are endless.
Where would these awakened dream people get their knowledge and personality? Would it be enough if their personalities came from your head? Many questions must be answered, too.
This central idea binds my new three-book series together.
I’ll leave you with a question: If you could take one person out of your dreams and into reality, who would it be and why?
