My last post dealt with the health benefits of writing, a little bit each day. What about reading? Read on.
It’s accepted knowledge that without reading, I don’t have the tools to write (Stephen King, paraphrased). But in addition to helping me become a better writer, reading has many health advantages. From inspiring me to change my life direction (soon, my sweet), pick up a new hobby or just relieve stress, reading plays an important part in keeping me healthy. I don’t even want to think about how I’d feel without reading in my life.
The study targets only books, leaving out social media and online articles, although I think sometimes they could be influential too.
