July 10, 1986 • At that moment under the car, it was hard to tell what was worse, the acrid smell of burning rubber or the searing heat blasting from the engine’s undercarriage. Somehow Wynter had escaped the wheels of the black car as it barreled over her.
Last month, I talked about lucid dreaming, which is the ability to control your dreams while you are experiencing them. Now, I took the idea a little farther, and headed into fantasy territory.
I do… sometimes. But there is one aspect of dreaming I wish I was able to do: lucid dreaming.
I have some good news and some bad news. First the good news. I have finished the first draft of the first book in this three book saga. WOOT!
I made great progress last month on my new trilogy/saga and banked almost 22,000 words.
Despite starting on a new three-book series this year, I will be writing a fourth book in the Detest-A-Pest series.
A new year brings a new three-book series. I’ve been working on the outline for far too long and now that 2020 is over I can really get down to business.

So I’ve done it again. I aim for a word count target and I overshoot it. But it’s not on purpose, I swear.
