Canada has a great system for creating and maintaining ISBN numbers for publications.
The best part is ISBNs are free in Canada. The official agency for the US charges a small fee for processing ISBNs. On Friday, I registered my ISBN for Tied. I anticipate a release date of (late) November 2015. That might be overly optimistic. I was hoping to take advantage of the Fall/Christmas sales season. If I have to change it, I will. Canada’s ISBN system is very flexible and the customer service is fast and polite.
