CreateSpace said that it would take two weeks to deliver my proof copies after ordering them. Guess what was waiting for me after work?
My first “George McFly” moment.
Perhaps CreateSpace says “delivery in two weeks” so us indie authors get a big surprise when our proof arrives early. In my case, the proof copies arrived one and a half weeks early! That makes for a great user experience. Whatever the case, I am so stoked about this. I feel a lot like George McFly at the end of Back to the Future.
I chose a matte finish for the cover, and the feel is very slick. I’m tempted to try a glossy cover to see what the difference is like. I was very impressed by the quality and binding. All things considered, this is an amazing process.
Next step is to read through it again and try and catch any typos that slipped through the cracks. They say you only catch 90% of the errors with every pass.
I just might be able to release in winter as I initially promised.
